After an incredibly busy 2017, the CA kicks off 2018 in fine fettle with plenty of activity and a range of opportunities to feed into the Government work on improving the home-buying process, but also to continue our own Strategic Plan work streams in order to deliver in the areas we want to see change in.

Of course, there is huge cross-over there, and indeed it was very pleasing to see the ‘Call for Evidence’ responses from a number of other organisations agreeing with the CA in a great many areas. An industry which works together has a much better chance of delivering the change it wants to see.

In terms of media in January, the CA has set its stall out for 2018 via a number of our regular articles in the trade press, plus our work has been picked up by other stakeholders and a number of publications. Currently, we have an ongoing joint survey with HM Land Registry seeking views on Landlord/Management Company restrictions, we will continue to be involved in the ESTAs, plus the Conveyancing Foundation helped member, Convey Law, raise over £300k for the Ty Hafan’s Children Hospice – excellent news to begin the year with.
