Our News Coverage | September 2024

September always comes with a ‘back to school’ type feel, and after a few months since our last meetings, the CA was very pleased to hold a series of legal member and affiliate meetings this time in York.

Please read Nicky Heathcote’s regular monthly blog which covers what was discussed at those meetings, and specifically a session which highlighted the excellent work of conveyancing firms with regard to fraud prevention and anti-money laundering.

At that meeting we were also able to provide some further details on next year’s Annual Conference & Dinner which is taking place at the end of January 2025, once again in Manchester. Further details below.

Finally, the housing market appears to be a priority for the new Government and the King’s Speech highlighted its intention to both reform leasehold and to make the move to commonhold, a policy position the CA has championed for some time.
