To say that March was a busy month for conveyancing firms would be something of an understatement. As it finishes, and the stamp duty returns to previous thresholds, firms will no doubt be taking stock of what they have been able to achieve, and the millions of pounds in stamp duty savings they will have secured for clients.
Will this be the last of these shifts of threshold and Government-instilled deadlines? It’s doubtful, but certainly a faster road to completion would allow more individuals to take advantage of any such changes in the future.
