You spend months and months discussing, and preparing, for an event and – just like…
The conveyancing industry Matterhorn Challenge reached a new milestone this week with the overall fundraising for the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice reaching in excess of £40,000.00.
A £10,000.00 contribution was made via Convey Law and the Free Legal Fee Competition provided through the newly established Conveyancing Foundation Charity Organisation.
Convey Law have run a free legal fee competition for their clients for the best part of 5 years and raised over £300,00.00 in the process. Every client has the opportunity to enter the competition on conclusion of their property transaction and are asked to make a £10.00 donation to charity; if they win the competition their legal fees are refunded up to a maximum of £500.00 per transaction.
Managing Director of Convey Law and Chairman of the Conveyancing Foundation Lloyd Davies commented:-
“We are delighted to have been able to make such a positive contribution to the conveyancing industry Matterhorn Challenge. We hope that other legal practices will team up with the Conveyancing Foundation to raise significant funds for their chosen charities and “Convey for Charity”.
We now need the support of the rest of the conveyancing industry in securing the last £10,000.00 for this excellent conveyancing initiative.”
Ty Hafan Charity Manager Alison Stallard commented:-
“We would like thank Lloyd and the team at Convey Law and the Conveyancing Foundation for their fantastic support and express our thanks to Geraint Aubrey for his incredible mountaineering endeavours. Lloyd, Geraint and the team at Convey Law are testament to what can be achieved within the conveyancing industry when a company sets it mind to raising funds for charity. The children and their families at Ty Hafan will be eternally grateful for your wonderful support.”
